And how I ended up giving yogaclasses in Leuven

My yoga journey started in an unspectactular way, but quickly became an addiction. As a frequent and passionate rock-climber as well as someone with chronic muscle pain, I was in need of more strength, which lead to an important quest. This journey included all sorts of sports, daily habits, and diet changes… just to overcome these daily difficulties and discover a balance with more physical energy and happiness.
Until the moment I was asked on a sailing-climbing trip in Greece to fill in for a yoga teacher, I didn’t even think about teaching. I didn’t even realize that it had become a crucial part of my habits.
Yoga secretly slipped into my life. It stayed as one of those good friends who has your back but would never impose.
Personally I benefit from yoga on many different levels. Yoga empowers me. I can overcome many obstacles in a much better way. It has also helped me to overcome my chronic pain, and helped me pull myself out of a depression. I became stronger and calmer on all ranks. I also discovered parts of myself that I did not even know existed.
Yoga has propelled me into an ongoing learning journey. And that is also why I do like to give yoga classes at home: to share this knowledge that I think is very valuable, to facilitate other personal yoga journeys, healing and self-inquiry.
